Help with options

We just put down the deposit on our 28bhbe flight. I am wondering if I should add a couple options before the order is placed and want opinions. I am wondering if I should add 50 amp and the 15,000 btu ac. Looking forward to input as I think they will place the order on Monday.

30 amps is really not much and if 50 is an option I would jump at it. I need to carry an extension cord so I can use the space heater at the same time I use the microwave.

My thoughts would be to add both features if for nothing else, resale value. That trailer is a decent size unit too and the 15k AC would make you much happier. I added it to my 28 DSBH which is much like your trailer and did a great job the few times I was out and needed it.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the new trailer.

Lots of people struggle with those options and we did too. We opted for 'No' for both. You can search the JOF and see what others have said.

The 50amp option seemed expensive and we didn't have any real reason that we'd need it, even though 30amps is not very much.

The 13,500 btu AC should suit us fine for our plans to travel in the north in the summer or to higher elevations. We did hedge our bets and opted for the insulation package, however.

We also plan to boondock a lot eventually and may have to rely on a generator. The 13,500 AC will not need as much generator power as a 15,000.

Also, there are only two of us (maybe an occasional grandson) so our power and AC needs should be less than a larger family might need.

x2. Not a lot of extra money, and the 50 amp service also adds the 2nd A/C prep for the bedroom. You could always add the A/C in the future in needed or wanted.

If you don't, you'll kick yourself when you need it unless you have all your trips already planned out.

Sounds like my hunch was right. I just emailed the salesman and added both. Thanks for all the feedback.

The 15K AC upgrade is only about a $140 option. Unless you are boondocking and need to run the AC with a generator it is well worth the money.

Our trailer is a bit smaller than yours and we opted for the 15k ac. Better to have more than u need. Same as with a tow vehicle....

go for the 15k ac option negotiated the price on that when I ordered my tt for $100 in the scheme of things that's a drop in the bucket.

I am glad we had the 50 amp option with the second air wiring ... we didn't order the bedroom a/c unit , but after having it for a year I think we are going to get one. I figured if we didn't need it why get it but the one runs almost too much trying to keep it cool in the heat of the summer. It is always nice to have the option there if you decide like me you need to upgrade
