Hot water
Ok...so it's my 1st time with this TT and no hot water. First time since before winterizing. Valve under the sink (white oval) was, for what I'm guessing, closed. So I opened it and still no hot water. The heater is warm.

Should be 3 valves at the water heater: 1 on cold water inlet, 1 on hot outlet, and one connecting the hot and cold lines. The one connecting the two lines should be closed. The inlet and outlet valve should be open. I am assuming you have the pump on or are connected to outside water source.

updating your profile and adding your TT info will help with your specific model but I'd think your water heater is still by passed. Did you get any water out of the heater when you purged the air out of it?

Outside source. Getting to the valves will be a chore. It's an Eagle 328 RLTS TT

They will have to be accessed from the inside some way. There may be a false panel that needs to be removed to get to the water heater, and lots of them are not readily accessible.

Mine are in the rear storage compartment. Make sure your water heater drain plug is in then find the valves to see if the tank is bypassed. http://cdn.forestriverforums.com/for...1&d=1384081079
Once you have water in the tank, purge the air by holding the pressure valve handle open for a bit until water comes out. I hope you did not turn on the electric heating element with no water in the tank.

I found the valves and all's good. I looked for them but like most men, didn't look HARD ENOUGH per DW. Thanks guys. Btw..didn't have the heater in at the time. I just couldn't get water flowing. Thanks again.

Now that you know that, going forward always make sure you open the valves to allow the tank to fill BEFORE turning on the heater. It could and may already have caused problems.

Take it from experience, it only takes about 60 seconds to fry an electric water heater element.

I make up tags to put on things like the A/C, warning not to turn on until cover is removed, and cover the water heater electric/propane switch and water pump with a tag warning not to turn on while it's winterized.

Don't really need a tag, just need someone to communicate. Last fall someone winterized my camper and didn't tell me. I was expecting them to but they were supposed to call me first which they didn't. A few days later when I went to the camper to do the final cleaning, I turned the power on to the water heater, which I always do when I get there. After that, I went to use the bathroom and saw the pink antifreeze in the toilet. I immediately turned the water heater power off but it was too late as I found out this spring. Fried the element. I attempted to replace it but I can't get it to stop leaking around the rubber gasket. I only tried once and will make another attempt this week. Lesson learned the hard way. The elements are only $16 but it could have been used elsewhere.

I have to say, they sure didn't make it easy to get to. There is no false panel persay..just the side of the cabinet. Pull gently and get access. But I can tell you..it doesn't come away easy. I'm gonna have to devise my own panel and make it just a tad easier.

On my 2007 Eagle, there are 4 screws holding a wooden panel in place. The panel is about 2 foot by 3 foot. Once that's out, the water heater is fairly accessible.

Just purchased a used 2004 Jay Feather 25E Access to water heater is very easy to get to but this is what happens when someone fails to either properly winterize or drain the heater for the winter.

Never seen one split that way but it looks like a Halloween monster!
Can you see any water damage from that spill?

Yes the underside is very soft in the area under the split. The bad is it has to be replaced. The good is I am able to do the work, buy a new heater on line and am going with a DSI heater. Just need the switch as the wiring is already there. Was able to check out the rest of the plumbing and surprisingly there was no other damage or leaks.
