Hot water heater

Having a problem on a 2015 jayco 28bhbe. When I run the propane for my hot water, when it gets to the tempeture it does not shut down. The expansion valve starts to drip, then I shut it off. Any suggestions how to repair thanks😎

From the Atwood HWH service manual;
EXCESSIVE OR INSUFFICIENT WATER TEMPERATURES
Thermostat not seated against tank-Reseat thermostat
Defective thermostat-Replace thermostat

Hot Water Heater

I got a Adjustable Electronic Thermostat for the Atwood Water Heater for my 6 gallon heater from Amazon. Was real easy to install, has 4 settings. The key is to make sure that the sensor is pressed against the side of the tank. Think it was less than $25.00 and it has worked great for 2 years.

Good Luck
