Hot water Luke warm 2010 40bhs

Just received 2010 40BHS and had it setup by dealer. Visited the trailer and noticed that the Hot water from tap was warm not hot. We did not receive a owners manual (they are sending one over, asap). So do not know what or where to check to determine if all switches, and valves are in correct position for electric heat to Water heater. (Am a novice, first time owner).

Hi Michael and welcome to the Jayco Owners Forum. Wow, a bungalow! I would love to have one of those set up! As for the water, all we have to do with our smaller 29bhs is push the toggle switch to water heater and we have running hot water. I'm not a techie, but with the new tt's you shouldn't have to mess around with other switches and valves.... check with your dealer to trouble-shoot. If all else fails, contact Jayco directly. Have fun with your new Jayco! Once you work out the bugs, you will be happy with it

Welcome to the forum. You should have a control panel with toggle switches one for electric hot water and one for gas hot water. Choose either one, but not both, and make shur there is water in the tank before you turn on the heat. The water wont be instant, faster with gas than electric. I start with gas for faster heat, and switch to electric, cause its usually supplied at the Camp ground. If you are not getting hot water after a couple hours, you may need to look at your bipass valves and see that one is not half open allowing cold to mix with the hot water. Good luck

Mine has a valve you can open between the top and bottom valve....if its open at all cold water will be allowed to enter and cool down the temp.
