How big is the oven interior

What are the dimensions of the ovens in the new Jayco Jay Flights?

I'm looking at bakeware to feather the nest with and need to know if I can fit a 12 or a 14" pizza pan in there.

Thanks

From someone who acutally uses his oven for cooking....

The 12" will probably fit (but I have my doubts), the 14" will not.

The cavity in the RV ovens is small. No getting around it.

Even the height of the lid becomes an issue.

Personally, I raided my home kitchen for the smallest bakeware and moved them permantly into the TT.

Thanks.
I'm looking at toaster oven bakeware. Will a quarter sheet fit in there. I think it is 13" on its longest side.

Yes, I believe it shoud be OK.

I've got a 9x12 cake pan that fits very easily.

The effects of showing up with a baked ziti in the middle of nowhere cannot be underestimated!

LOL! I love to cook, so I can't see NOT doing it while camping.

Now to figure out how to fit a turkey in there for Thanksgiving!

First Thanksgiving with SWMBO (going on 12 years together) we 'camped' at a friend's cabin (no electricity, no running water).

I bought 3 slabs (1/4" thick slices) of deli turkey breast, stovetop stuffing, canned gravy, cranberry sauce, etc. Fixed the whole thing on the cabin's wood-burning stove!

Don't worry about making the exact-same-thing-as-at-home. The fun is in the improvising! Making the same basic dish in the cramped kitchen, wrong sized pots, missing tools and undersized range is where the joy of meeting the challenge begins...

Now that's a great idea and needs to go in the cooking section if you haven't done that already. I put this in my camping notes folder.

These are the best types of memories. We look back on lots of the "Remember when....." moments as well.

We get a turkey breast (bare-no stuff on it) from Honeybaked Ham and add the "fixings" as you noted. We think the best is the sandwiches after, so work with what you have and all will be great!

I figured it was 1/2 jest. Wanting to serve something special...

Unfortunately, I got the cartoon image of cramming a 20# bird into an RV oven with a plunger stuck in my head.

As a recommendation to the OP. Consider buying a pizza stone or other stone ware. I finally got a Pampered Chef square stone that fit the RV oven perfectly. It's a square stone not the typical round pizza stone. I have now been using my oven almost daily and have yet to cook directly on the stone. I just place my baking sheet on top of it and am finally able to cook foods perfectly and evenly without burning the bottoms, etc. This is a must have.

Won't a piece of flooring tile work? That's what we have but never used it (or the oven).

Happy RVing,
Jeff

I use a piece of floor tile ( marble ) and it's about 8 years old now. When we cook a pizza we sprinkle corn meal on it so the pizza won't stick. When you set the oven temp and say it's 450 you should wait another 10-12 min. for the stone to reach that temp.
This is my oven at home as I removed the oven in the TT.

In my 2017 X213 it is not wide enough for a 9x13 glass cake pan (a cheap metal one might fit as long as the lifting lips on the ends are not too big.), and I don't think that it's deep enough for a 12" round pizza pan. You may have to do rectangular pizzas, or do them on the grill (an excellent way to cook pizza). Even when at home I usually do individual size pizzas so everyone can have their own preferred toppings. I prefer grilling them because I can get the grill hotter than than the oven.

We like muffins for breakfast sometimes and I have discovered that putting the 6 section muffin tin on a cookie sheet in the oven helps them to not burn on the bottom. I bought a set of three cookie sheets that came with a small one -- because I could not find a small one by itself.

you need to be careful with floor tiles as some of them can contain lead.
