how to: bypass water heater and run anti freeze

I have a Jayco 23rb, this is my first year winterizing. How do I bypass my water heater to run anti freeze through the faucets?

Thanks in advance.

There are lots of threads that cover this. Here is one. http://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f4...6-a-31161.html and another:

Basically to bypass the water heater there are 3 valves that need to be turned. The hot and cold input valves should be turned off and the valve between them should be turned on.

Don't forget to drain the water heater.

There should be a water pipe running to the top of the water heater that has a valve on it. Close that valve and look for a hose that runs straight down from that hose. Open the valve on that line. Follow that line down, it runs into the line coming from the water tank. Close that valve running from the water tank. Make a mental note, come spring, you must reverse this process to get hot water (learn from my mistake).

Spot on pictures. Depending on where yours is located, you might have to be Gumby to get to all 3 valves. The first time I did mine I couldn't see all the lines/valves and could only see/locate one line valve and the bypass valve. It took actually crawling deep under my bottom bunck w/ a flashlight to see the 3rd valve.

I did that as well. But, while I was down there I looked up at the plywood to see a handy cut out right above the 3 valves that can be removed from above for easy access (under the mattress).
