Next mod is a quick drain for our water heater.
This is the drain assembly that I'll be installing this weekend. It will take the place of the factory 1/2" Nylon plug that's in the drain port.
1/2" Nylon threaded nipple, 12" long x 1/2" FPT faucet supply hose, 1/2" full-port hose bibb. Other than the Nylon nipple, everything was sourced from Lowes for under $20.
The Nylon nipple came from the link below -

01Tundra do you have any pics of your EMS installation? You do great work and I'd love to see what the under cabinet install looks like.
We are picking up our Hummingbird in about 6 weeks, and I am thinking of ordering and installing the PI EMS HW30C. Our Hummingbird is the RB model, so I'm thinking it will need to be installed in the bathroom cabinet, which is where the power enters the trailer. Has anyone else done an EMS install in a Hummingbird RB?
thanks

That's the one thing I did a poor job of documenting, I was focussed on getting it done so much I forgot to take pictures.
Next time I'm working on the TT I'll pull the panel and snap some pics to post up.

Since I found my bathroom LED puck light laying in the floor today due to the cheap double stick tape that it came with, I figured I might as well share one of my favorite mods before putting it back in its final resting place with my beloved 3M VHB tape
We found that turning on the overhead bathroom light was overly bright and we were worried that it might wake the baby. Going it in full darkness has it's own set of issues and was less than graceful.
So during our first camping trip we stopped at a dollar store and spent about $3 on this little LED puck light, you simply press the lens portion to turn it on/off.
I found that when placed on the back side of the sink it is really handy to reach and it puts off just the right amount of light.
And I just found out that it simply twists off the base for access to batteries, which is a good thing because that base will be there for years after I'm gone....have I mentioned yet how much I love my clear 3M 4910 VHB tape ?

I get to do my happy dance today.
When I first loaded our TT I packed everything I could think of. The tongue weight was measured at 500 lbs. Since then I have been removing items that we don't use/need and decided to weight the tongue weight again this morning.
We've picked up about 70 lbs. of additional payload.

Installed a Vortex II fan in the bathroom today.
On high speed this thing will move some air, I can feel it rushing in through the entire doorway while running on high.
Should be perfect for Spring and Fall when we're between heating and cooling seasons.

Good job. I am going to install one in mine. But I wish mine was in the bathroom. I have no vent in the bathroom which is one place you REALLY need one!!

No vent at all in the bathroom, that seems odd?
Ours has a powered vent in the bathroom and a passive vent in the entry near the stove.

The only place I'm thinking is that small flat area over the shower. That curved install is a tough one.

Yeah that's what I'm looking at. I'm trying to find a 5-8" vent.

I thought about using this but splicing in to it and putting a cutoff switch so it's not running 24/7

Once I get time to mess with it I'll likely pull power and ground from an adjacent ceiling light and add another Vortex II over top of the stove in the passive vent location.

The CAT Scale gods have been good to me.
We currently have 840 lbs of excess payload left over, so even with the dogs, kayaks and bikes we should have at least 400 lbs of payload to spare.
The TT is currently fully loaded and 80 lbs under GVWR, so life is good there as well.
The front axle GAWR is 5,200 lbs and the rear is 6,200 lbs. The measured TW on our TT is 430 lbs. I may lighten up a little more on the Andersen WD hitch tension. Honestly, since the TV has anti-sway trailer control, we'd likely be just as well off with no WD hitch. The only reason I'm running it still is for the anti-sway portion of the hitch, but the WD chains must be in tension to take advantage on the sway control. I was at 6 threads showing on the chain tensioner so this scale run, I may try 4 threads showing on the way home. No need to push any of the TW forward in our case.
The truck literally feels the same with it without the TT behind us, I'm amazed and a very happy camper.
And best of all.....we still fit in the parking spots at Wal-Mart - win!
I'm done stressing about payloads or anything else TV related at this point.
