I messed up winterizing

Ok my first time winterizing i messed up . I have a 2015 bh elite. I turned the bypass for the hot water tank ,drained it and left the plug out. drained the fresh water tanks. Pumped 2 gal of pink stuff into the lines . Poured more into the traps . But i didn't pull the low point drain valves. Didnt even know about them until i was reading on here yesterday. Im i in trouble or do you think the pink stuff flushed some of the water out ?

I'm on my phone so I can't tell were your at. Unless your somewhere that gets super cold weather you should be fine. The antifreeze over time will mix. what will happen, your level of protection will decrease. So you'll go from -40 dregee (pure antifreeze ) to maybe -10 degree protection. In most areas that will be fine.

It might not be too late. If you can get to your trailer, pull them now. It hasn't been terribly cold yet this winter.

If u are worried about it, just pull your low point drains, empty your lines, then put in new antifreeze.. Antifreeze is cheap, and you will use very little..

Pull/open the low drain points and a couple faucets... A fair amount of pink juice ends use coming out you may not even need to redo the line with the pink juice. As long as it is fairly dark when it comes out the drain.

I blow the lines out w/ an air compressor. Pump the pink juice in, then blow out again. Before pumping the juice, I pull the p traps and drain them in a bucket. That way they aren't diluted.

Good luck!!!

I did the same thing the first winter and everything turned out OK. You can check the integrity of the plumbing now with a blow out plug and about 25 lbs of compressed air. It wouldn't hurt to run a bit more antifreeze in the system and thru the low point drains. I'm not sure where Cortland is but I can tell you we have had some deep freezes in Missouri that would have caused an issue by now.

If you have the time and can get to the coach, why not just perform the winterization procedure again? What’s the cost… maybe a couple gallons of antifreeze. You’d have peace of mind and the additional practice would do you good.

Weather.com says January is historically the coldest month in Cortland OH. So the worst is probably over and your long range forecast does not look like you are going to get below +10 F.
Any problems of freezing would have probably already happened. From here on out you should be good!

I opened the valves yesterday and there was alot of pink on the floor . Im going to get another gal or two and just run it through. I wish jayco would have spent more than 27 cents on them they are junk.
