I want to hang my TV

This is the space in my bedroom where I would like to hang a T.V.

Yeah that old CRT has got to go. We have a small flat screen that we would love to hang somehow. I am not sure where a good support would be but the hanging tilting swively thingy ( yes that is the technical term ) would be ideal. We have a small flat screen Vizio about 20 inches.
Then we will look for a small aquarium to go where the white CRT is.
Any ideas ??

Why not right off the side of that cabinet?
Add some supports on the inside if you need too.
You're only hanging about 11 lbs.

That was my original thought but once I performed the ( knock on it and upset the dogs ) test it kinda seemed a little thin. At the same time I was thinking I am not brave enough to drill on the main wall.
Adding some support to the cabinet might seriously be the best way to go.

i would put in in the same spot as your tv is in now. I suspect this way the screen faces your bed...maybe add a brace acoss the front and buy the bracket that extends it out? Not sure if this makes sense..but i see it in my head! lol

This is pretty much what I did in the bunkhouse entertainment area of mine. I placed a brace about 4 inches from the back that extended all the way across, then mounted a wall mount to the brace using bolts and wing nuts. This allows for easy removal. It then extends out and can be faced in different directions. I stained the wood to match. Looks good and works good. It has a 20 inch samsung led. One thing that made it easier for me was that I had a cabinet on each side so no nuts or bolts are visible.

What I'm really curious about is how you would transport an aquarium full of sloshing water down the road?

The TV in the bedroom of our SENECA is mounted on the cabinet door. (came from the factory) Buy or have another door made, put the TV on the front and you will have storage behind it. There is a 1" hole drilled the door for the wires.

+1 ^^^^^^ That is a nice mod right there! Use some heavy duty hinges and it would be nice and sturdy.

The TV you have up there now is probably 2 - 3 times heaver then a comparable LCD TV and mount so I don't think it's an issue.
