Inside diameter of PEX overflow tubes?

Hi everyone,
On my long list of mods is installing valves on my water tank overflow hoses. Does anyone know what the inside diameter of these water lines are? I don't have access to my camper at the moment.

I was going to get these if the barb is the right size.

SharkBite 1/2 in. Chrome-Plated Brass PEX Barb x 3/8 in. Compression Quarter-Turn Straight Stop Valve-23057LF - The Home Depot

Even better. These aren't mission critical items so the cheaper the better, to an extent... I like those. Thanks for the link.

My overflow is right above the axle so I had to do some additional modifications to make it work so I didn't have to crawl under the trailer to turn the valves.

Nicely done.

Potential issue with adding a valve. I was tracing my overflow piping the other day, and that piping appears to be the only vent for the freshwater tank. There is a little mesh vent port next to the freshwater fill inlet, but it is covered up on the inside and there is no hose running from that little vent port to the tank. So, that overflow is the only vent for the tank which means that I have to have it open when using the water pump or I will eventually get a vacuum lock unless I leave the freshwater fill cap off.

The fresh water fill cap does not create an airtight seal. It is meant to breathe. In addition my intent is to open the valves once on site. The reason I put the valves on is because I would lose a tremendous amount of water during travel which creates problems when boondocking.

Yep, this is precisely the reason I'm adding the same valves. I probably lost / wasted close to 200 gallons of water last season. Not this year They will be open most of the time, but having the ability to close them when needed will make camping off grid a lot less stressful at times. I don't know if it's some kind of siphon effect, or what, but I've seen half my tank drain out of those 2 hoses right in front of my eyes, not even moving. Something screwy going on there (well documented in other threads here). I'll *try to remember* to open them up on site, every time.

What I did was tee them into one, with a shut off valve, and extend to below the fill so easy to see when filling.
Nice tidy job on yours.
