Install Fantastic fan in bedroom?

I would like to install a fantastic fan in the bedroom ceiling of my '16 29BHDS. Currently there is not a fan in the bedroom, so has anyone done this? Is there a certain place for it? I read that there may already be framing in the roof structure to accommodate a new/extra fan install.

Thanks

Contact Jayco with your VIN and ask them for the roof plans for your TT. Be aware that it may void your 2 year warranty.

I know you're probably trying to save some moolah by doing it yourself but, I think I'd let a certified dealer take on that task. Also for the warranty apect of it as Mustang65 pointed out.

I would look in the The Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act (P.L. 93-637) is a United States federal law, (15 U.S.C. § 2301 et seq.). Enacted in 1975. Not sure if such is applicable with RVs however, it may be worth looking into.

I did this in the bedroom and living room. Framing and electrical was there. You may want to ask Jayco about the warranty but I figure if the framing is already there, why would it void the warranty? I think the only way it would void the warranty is if it leaked and they found out that it was not factory (or dealer) installed but it's not hard to do a professional job if you are handy at all. As previously mentioned, call or email Jayco with your VIN to get the roof framing plan so you know where to begin. BTW, I installed one Fantastic Fan and one Maxxair Fan and, for my money, the Maxxair was the better of the two.

I always wondered why Warrantee Registration Cards disappeared from instruction booklets around the end of the 1970's...

Thanks!

Magnuson–Moss simply puts the burden of proof on the issuing company to PROVE that something you did caused a failure on a covered part.

Prior to it being enacted, all a warranty company had to do was see ANY modification, lack of maintenance or other issue attributable to the owner and they walked away from the coverage.

It's one of the very few pieces of government legislation that actually works to the benefit of the people...

I installed one in my Jay Feather bedroom. It really isn't difficult to do. Unfortunately my trailer wasn't wired for one but I knew I could easily get power from a light fixture which wasn't far away. I drilled a small hole and tunnelled to the light fixture to get power. The rest was just a matter of following the directions. I recently bought a fantastic fan vent cover which was more efficient. I leave the windows closed except for the ones at the other end of the trailer. The fan pulls in the cool air and cools the whole trailer this way.
