Installation Problem of EMS-HW50c - Not enough power cable

I purchased the Progressive Industries EMS-HW50C, but now I'm considering returning it and ordering a portable unit because my 27BHS does not have enough extra 50 amp electric cable inside the camper to install it. I would prefer to keep the hard-wired unit though if this is a problem that can be solved. How difficult is it to remove the electric cable from the inside power plug and use that, and then just install an additional new cable coming from the inside of the power plug to the EMS?

An option you have is to cut the cable and put 50A plug on each end. Purchase some 50A cable and wire the cable into the EMS as instructed and put the corresponding plugs on the end if each for them.

If I am understanding the problem correctly, its a pretty easy fix to extend the cable. What you are doing is simply removing the junction box and replacing it with the internal EMS unit. If you are trying to relocate the EMS to a different location just extend from the junction box to desired location with 50 amp cable...
