Insullation coming out on outside

We just brought home a 2018 Jay Flight SLX 212QBW and noticed an area on the outside towards the top some insulation coming through. Not normal in my opinion. Has anyone else experience this? Dealer says the panels aren't sealed, just overlapped by 6".

It's not much but if it can come out, can't water get in?

In my opinion this is just a piece of insulation that was caught between two pieces during the assembly process and is a non-issue.

Some pieces are overlapped and have U shaped opposing edges that nest within each other starting from the bottom of the unit and working to the top of the unit. Others are just overlapped.

I guess in theory the insulation _could_ wick moisture up and through the channel it is trapped in but it's pretty unlikely.

Your dealer is going to do the same thing I'd suggest which is to pull it out carefully, or trim it off.

In my opinion it is not a big deal.
