Insurance company recommendation?

My new 31' jay feather will be delivered this Friday to our seasonal site but we haven't picked up insurance yet. Got a quote through a GEICO partner but seemed high.

I have fulltime RV'r coverage through Progressive, for around $325 per year. Cost is dependent on lots of factors, including things like driving record, credit score, previous claims submitted, etc.-

Not sure where you are at. Ask a lot of questions and senerios. A coworker bought a new rv for a permanent site bought rv specific insurance. A month or so later a super storm came through flooded the CG and the tt was totaled, and not covered as it did not have flood insurance.

Insurance is very state dependent, thus nobody can make a recommendation unless they tried them all and are in your same state.

All I can say is that Foremost has been the best for us. This was recommended by our insurance agent, who is an RVer, but works for a competitive company. Can't get better advice than that.

RV insurance is tough to get in MA.. Non of the major players will insure RV's in MA including GEICO, Progressive. I had to add it to my Liberty Mutual auto policy.

I get mine thru Good Sam .
We pay $231.00 for our 2016 28BHBE The end of November, when we park it for the Winter, They drop the collision and we get about a $75.00 refund. We have Full Replacement, $250.00 deductible and it covers most everything.
Here is the link: RV Insurance - RV Insurance Online : Good Sam RV Insurance

State Farm lumped our trailer insurance into our Home Owners. NOT GOOD.

We just got our 16xrb and Geico is $76 for 6 months. Couldn't find anything cheaper before we picked it up, but going to shop around.

Now that you have your trailer in place, what did you end up doing for insurance?

Insurance Recommendation

If you are a veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, it's hard to beat USAA. But you have to be eligible to become a member. You can also get it if one of your parents was a veteran and has USAA.

It may not fit for you, but perhaps others here could benefit from the knowledge.

Hoes State farm have your Trailer on your Home Owners Police. Check it out really good. We did and were shocked at what State farm would not cover. That is why we switched to Good Sam.

No we have it set up seperatly, also purchased the gap insurance for a one time fee encase of an early disaster that wouldn't pay off the loan.
