Read the owner's manual, it says only jack the trailer on the frame rails to change a flat tire.
Leaf spring travel will seem to make this a very high lift for a jack.

My original play was to put a floor jack in with my supplies but I'd have to add a lot of blocking under or over jack for this to work.

Is jayco afraid of bending the axle by using it as a jack point?

I was planning on cutting some 2x6 or 2x8 treated for pads under the stabilizers and tongue, I guess I could use these under a bottle jack, but jacking under the axle seems much safer to me. That's how I've always done it.
Floorjack has large footprint to keep axle from slipping off. Bottle jack not so much even on frame rails.

What do all of you do?

Do you have tandem or single axle? Google traileraid if you have tandem axle. I have been using it for years. You could also use wood. I don't have an answer for you if you have single axle.

The axle is a hollow tube pre-bent so that the tires are flat on the ground when the weight of the trailer is added. You probably would damage the axle using it as a jack point.

I have seen all kinds of travel trailer and 5th wheels jacked up and I have never seen even one using the frame. If you roll up on one of the Anderson Jacks you still have all the weight on one end of the axle. I just had my tires inspected on my 5th wheel and they jacked under the axle. A long way to try to use blocks to jack up by the frame. Just bought a new set of tires at a trailer shop and they also jacked up the single axle. Never had any problems over the years.

I took the same size axle saddle (piece welded on the axle that sits on leaf springs), purchased at some local place. Took a block of wood and fit it inside of it, and cut the same contour as the saddle. Welded a small piece of pipe for the bottle jack end to fit in. So, pretty much the same thing as an axle saddle, in reverse. It fits right between the axle u-bolts and works well.
