Jacking up Whitehawk

Ordered a 27 DRLS and planning on what to buy for it. I plan on getting 6 ton bottle Jack. I am wondering where you put the Jack under the trailer? Also, what do most of you Whitehawk owners use for a jack?

Thanks.

Steve

I made sure the stock jack in my F150 worked on the trailer. And it did. The jack goes under the frame rail behind or in front of the tire you are raising. According to the my owner's manual: "To raise the RV, place the jack (hydraulic or screw) under the main frame rail. It must be just ahead of the front tire or just behind the rear tire." The "main frame rail" spans the trailer from front-to-back just inside the tires.

I used two of these to get two wheels in the air.

I just took all 4 wheels off my TT and had the tires replaced. I used the bottle jack from my pickup and placed it under the frame rail between the 2 tires. Jacked up one side, placed jack stand in front of front tire and one behind rear tire. Then I went to the other side of the TT and repeated. Used 4 jack stands total. It is a little unnerving to see the TT balanced on 4 jack stands, but all worked out.

I use a bottle jack and a 4" square piece of plywood, under the U-bolts on the axle. This is where the axle supports it's share of the trailer's weight anyway. No need to jack it up more than 1/2" off the ground. The plywood evens out the load between both U-bolts, and it's pretty simple. I did this yesterday when I adjusted my brakes and added a little grease.
