Jay Flight 23RB Thoughts
Wife and I seriously considering the subject model. Any Flight 23 owners here who can share their thoughts. We have a hold on a new 2015, but hoping to save some $$ if we can find a pre-owned soon. Not finding much in the way of reviews.
Today we looked a Shasta 215CK. Much less money (shorter and a bit less quality maybe?). We are new to this, so much to learn. It seems the more we look, the more confused we get......
Any tips and advice appreciated
Jeff

We went from a 29+ foot TT to this one and I like it! We've only been out in it twice but I really like the bigger bathroom than we had before. One reason we wanted this one was because of the walk-around bed. Now I don't have to sleep against the wall or get off the end of the bed. I know a lot of people don't like the Denver mattress but I think it's comfy. There are some things in our older trailer I liked better like a pantry but we've adjusted. Also liked the bigger awning in the older/bigger trailer. I think we'd purchase this one again though.

We bought a 238rb last year. It looks like the same floor plan. It's perfect for the wife and I. We upgraded from a Starcraft XP18. The kitchen is a little tight when 2 people are going past each other but we are big people. I'm 6'1 250 and she's...nevermind. lol Anyway, she loves it and couldn't be happier.

We considered this model, but went with the 24FBS as it had a dinette slide, which makes it alot roomier inside. You might want to consider a 24FBS as well.

Thanks. Have now found a 2013 22FB. It is as clean as the new one and has been stored inside all winters. See no difference in the floor plan, but they had to take it out somewhere. Wife is afraid it is a shorter distance from the front of couch to the kitchen base counter. She is afraid that makes the right end of the couch nearly unusable.
Can save a bunch of $$ on the 2013, but need to keep her happy.
Anyone know from where the 1' was taken??
2.5 hours each way to go look, so do not want to waste the time and miles if she is correct.

Only 6 inches difference according to jayco. Don't know where.

We have the 2014 22FB and just love it. Yes, the couch is close to the cabinet but we have no problem with it being useable.

We agree with YKCAMOM. Liked that model but chose the 24FBS because of the dinette slide out. Think its also about 1000 lbs heavier but well worth it.
You will enjoy whichever one you choose.
Happy RVing,
Jeff

very satisfied
The 22FB is one foot shorter than ours but the floor plan is nearly identical. For us, my wife, myself and 3 rescue dogs, it is perfect. I can tow with my half ton. If your family is bigger, you will probably want a slightly larger one. Good luck in your quest.

Pulling the Trigger
Have found a super clean, lightly used 2013 22FB.
We are picking it up on Wednesday.
Thanks for the good input to all......

In April of this year we bought a new 2014 22FB. After taking it on a couple of trips, one for 11 days and another for 6 days, we found it was just to cramped even for the two of us. Additionally, my wife didn't like the height of the cabinets as she had to use a stool to get into any of them. The location of the main closet (in the bath) made all the hangers bounce off the hanging rod due to movement in the rear of the TT and I never found a solution for that problem. All in all it just didn't work for us.
This past weekend we traded it for a 2015 Open Range 216RBS. Open Range is another Jayco owned brand and the 216 has 2 very large slides and other features that address our issues with the 22FB and it doesn't weigh a whole lot more. It's really not a good apples to apples comparison as the Open Range cost about double what the 22FB cost.

Checked out these models and they are very nice! I think we'll look into it more. I really like the 27 footers! Too bad they jump from 21 feet up to 27. If they could make one that's 23 to 24 feet with those opposing slides it would be perfect!
