Jay Flight 24rbs

Anyone own one? What do you think of the layout? Too small living area? Bath in rear an issue? What are you pulling it with?

Thanks

Steve

Steve- We have an older 24FBS with a similar floor plan and we just love it. It's just the wife and I (and Chihuahua) so the floor plan is okay and the rear bath works out for us. If you have a few kids or some big dogs it may however get a little crowded. Plenty of storage, lots of amenities, and easy to tow with my F-150 (HD/Max tow pkg.). I am at 7500 lbs. GVWR which I think is a little heavier than the 24 RBS. We tow up and down the Rockies with no problems.
Hope this help you somewhat.
Happy RVing,
Jeff

Steve, We have a 2015 24FBS and love it as well. I am towing with a 2015 Silverado 1/2 ton and using a blue ox sway pro hitch. I upgraded my tires to 10 ply for more stability. We tow in the Pocono mountains of PA and up and down the Northeast US without any problems at all. It's my wife and I and a occasional grand child, so we have plenty of room.

Hey Steve. Bought new 2017 rbs last June. Just DW and I as well as camper dog. Works well for us. Towing with 2016 f 150 2.7 ecoboost. No issues towing.

We bought our 24RBS last spring. Our first trailer was a 2014 22FB. With no slide out it quickly became too small for just my wife and I. It seemed we were always in each others way. When we saw the 24RBS at a show last spring we knew that was what we should have bought the first time.
The open space that the slide out makes is just right for us.
The only complaint I have is the load range C tires. Even at 50 psi they look like they need more. I plan to put on some LR D this year.
I pull it easily with my Ram 2500 6.4l.

Bought one last year and like it. Tow with a 2.7L ecoboost just fine. If I had to do over again, I would get a rear living room model instead of a rear bathroom. Just the two of us and two small dogs.

I bought this last September. Its my wife and i and one small kiddo. I haven't found any problems with the unit or the floor plan yet. Works well for the 3 of us and tows well. I did a bunch of mods to it. Shocks, equalizer, surge, mattress, etc.

And now something different.....I am towing it with a 2016 Porsche Cayenne S. I do get some funny looks but this thing tows better than our diesel work truck. I have a reese dual cam hitch and a P3 brake controller. I haven't had any problems with it, no sway at all, yet but i think if i were to do it again i would get a pro pride.

We have a 2010 Jay Feather 24T with a rear bath that I find rather crowded in the living area. I've been looking for a rear living layout which has a larger living area plus windows on 3 sides. I like there 2 models
Jay Flight SLX 245RLSW, and the 265RLSW

If the price tag isn't too high look at a 27dsrl - almost same length and weight.

We bought a 2017 Jay Flight 24RBS which we tow with F250 6.0 bulletproofed diesel, with Equalizer hitch. Very pleased with the model and how it tows. We previously had a Keystone 5th Wheel that was much longer and heavier and decided to downgrade. We looked online extensively before visiting dealers, and had decided we did not like a rear bath plan. However, when we saw this one on the lot, we took another look, and are glad we did. We do agree with those who are skeptical of the tires, and plan to upgrade soon. Our dealer is Southern RV in Chesterfield County, VA and we have been highly pleased with them as well.

Thank you all for this thread. My wife and I just ordered our 2017 24RBS. We have a 2015 Ram 1500, 5.7L with a 3.92 rear end. Our dealer is providing a Trekker WD/sway control hitch. If there is anything we need to know (this is our first trailer), please let us know. Have a great day!!

We should meet up somewhere. The Porsche and the Durango pulling the 24s.

Thanks for all the posts. I did end up buying the trailer today. Very nice unit. All the options and colors I wanted.

Now for the truck. Dealer will keep the trailer until I have the truck.

Still have not decided on a truck. Ram 1500, gmail Sierra or Toyota Tundra.

We had a 2014 24FBS Elite. It's a good layout, but we found it got too crowded with our Golden Retriever along!

We also found the small loveseat was rather uncomfortable seating. We traded it for a Whitehawk 27DSRL. The living area is much nicer (with the two recliners, etc). It's not that much longer than the 24FBS/RBS and the GVW is the same.

We tow (towed) both with a 2010 F150 with no issues.

You all might think I am crazy, but I have decided against the 24. I had a small deposit on it. Will cancel tomorrow and will order a Whitehawk 27DRLS. I think for the small increase in size and weight I will be getting much more comfort. We plan to use the trailer in the winter to stay in the warm weather for 2 or 3 months. The 27 will offer more room.

I am also not going to look at the Ram 1500 any longer. Payload is too much of an issue for me to worry about. It is going to be a GMC Sierra 1500 or Ford F150. Both Crew cabs with 4x4.

Thanks to all of you for your advice and comments.
