Jayco Eagle 322FKS Owners?!?!

How many owners of the Eagle 322FKS do we have on this Forum?
http://www.jayco.com/php/products/fl...06&mod_id=1068
Sandy and I have always liked this floor plan. We are real close to striking a deal on a 2010 model with a fantastic price. They are also giving us the right price for a trade-in on our 2007 25RKS JayFlight.
I would like to know:
What caught your attention about this model?
What do you DISLIKE about this model?
What do you tow it with?
What have you found most valuable?
Do you have enough OUTSIDE storage room?

Thank you for all your information!!!

As a side note - The floor plan in the link is wrong. The OPTION for the Extendable Dinette and Table/Chairs is for the Living Room area, NOT the Bedroom. We are looking at a model with the FreeStanding Chairs versus the Dinette on the front section.

OurJayco,

We took delivery of our 2010 322FKS with the free standing table and chairs option on Jan. 22, 2010. We have only taken a weekend maden voyage trip with a 200 mile round trip mileage.

The floor plan, space and large storage capacity caught our attention. The cabinet space is the best! We traded in a 2007 Jay Feather 29N

Haven't found anything we dislike yet. Might find it more difficult to use in some State Parks due to length.

We are towing with a 2009 Chevy 2500HD D/A ( tows fantastic). I feel it would be heavy for a 1/2 ton.

Can't answer your last two questions yet. We will have to get a little more time with the unit. Going to fix that March 12th with a 33 day trip

Thanks for the information. That is helpful. We currently have an F150 to tow our 25RKS as you can see in my signature, but would get a 250/2500 if we get the bigger trailer.
We have not signed any papers or made any commitment yet.
We do not visit many State Parks, but on the occassions we do, we have taken that in to consideration. The 322FKS is a little bigger than I wanted to go, but it has all the features and room I like. The rear slide out bed is the big seller for me. I am 6' 6" tall and a king size bed that slides out for added room is what caught my eye right away.
Thanks Again for your thoughts and information. I will let you and everyone know if we do pull the trigger on this model.

You WILL appreciate the space with the bedroom slide and the king bed. We had room to sit one of the kitchen table chairs between the bed and counter and use the laptop.

We were getting 11.8 MPG with our 29N at about 6500#. This weekend run netted 10.0 MPG with the added weight of the 322FKS - approaching 10K #, still respectable economy.

I have a 2003 Chev Silverado 2500HD 6L gas, 4:10 gear ratio truck that I now pull a 2002 Jayco 312 FKS (about 6800 lbs. dry) with and it works like a dream. We're been looking quite a bit at the 322 FKS model and am looking for insight as to how much difference the extra 1,000 lbs. will affect the towing? The truck is rated to tow 9,600 lbs., but it seems like every time you go bigger with the trailer, you wind up having to go vehicle hunting to get the proper power.

We just picked up our new 2010 322FKS last week. We tow it with a 2005 Dodge 2500 with a ***mins. Even though it weighs about 1400 lbs more than our old TT (Dutchman Sport 26L) it actually seems to pull easier. We picked this unit because of the apparent quality, the front kitchen (DW liked the counter space), and especially the interior storage. It didn't hurt that we received a great price.

We plan on adding a rear cargo carrier to help with the exterior storage space.
