Jayco Eagle 324BHTS

Hello fellow owners I was hoping that I could get some info regarding your loves and hates of this trailer and perhaps prevent some bad situations for me if you have any tips or tricks or must haves.

Any help would be appreciated. I am totally green to camping and travel trailers and I'm not a big fan of surprises.

Thanks

If you haven't already, I'd suggest you look through prior posts using the 'search' function. Since you are new to camping and travel trailers, there is a lot you should investigate to eliminate UNPLEASANT surprises. Some of those kinds of surprises could be VERY dangerous or expensive.

Have you read though the material you received when you bought your trailer? Doing that would help you to begin to understand what is in your trailer and how to operate it. At the very least, you will begin to understand more about what you DON'T know and need to investigate...

I have used the search function prior to posting and there isn't a whole lot that comes up on this specific camper.

I wouldn't worry so much about being the exact model. Most advice will apply to MOST of your situations. Questions can often be of a generical nature. ASK AWAY!

My husband and I recently purchased the 324BHTS and love it. We just returned from our first camping trip at the lake. So far there is only one thing that I dislike...when the slides are in and you need to get something out of the camper it's impossible. Other than that, which is minor, it's wonderful. The storage space is amazing, the space in general is great. We camped part of the week with 5 adults, 2 teens, 2 younger children and a baby and had plenty of room. I love the island in the kitchen and my husband loves the outside kitchen.

Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

Yup... access to stuff inside with the slides in is often a challenge.

I have the 2014 version of what you have I believe, and we love it, the huge water tank is great, my wife loves the island and the temp stays pretty even throughout the camper, but pull the thermostat off the wall and throw it away, and get the digital model, I think its a digital coleman mach, I bought one on ebay for $60 shipped, it works like it should, the old stat wouldn't hold a temp at all, I woke up freezing 2 times in the middle of the night when it was cold.

What model year is yours? We have a new 2016 on order, but I can't find any pictures of the new ones. I hear that they moved the sink to the island.

I've got a few questions about this model as we just ordered one but didn't get to see one in person. We just looked at an Eagle 5th wheel to see build quality.

We ordered our with the Party sofa instead of the hide a bed but have not seen what it looks like at all. I did sit on a hide a bed sofa in that fifth wheel and liked the fact that it wasn't caving in the middle like others do but is the seating on the party sofa comparable as the hide a bed?

I also watched a youtube video on this model and the guy said it was a full 80 inch queen bed which I highly doubt so can anyone confirm?

Thank you all

We ordered a party sofa as well, but haven't seen it at all. We were just told it would be like a sectional with a HAB. However, I do know that the 2016's are true 60x80 queen beds. Can you post a link to the YouTube video? I haven't gotten a visual of the new model at all yet.

The video is a 2015 but I was told there wasn't much difference all in all

We have the 2015. I haven't seen any pics of the 2016. But I love the open island. It adds so much space and storage.

Here is a link to the 1st 2016 324BHTS I've been able to find. It doesn't show the party, but does show some of the other new updates. http://http://www.keystonervcenter.c...er-pa-i1688913

Congrats! We got ours in October and at that time I couldn't find anyone with this layout. We have camped many times in the driveway and 3 weekends out. It has less outside storage than our old camper but we are loving the layout. Our kids outgrew our old camper and we were frustrated with their stuff all over. LOL. Now they have their own room with plenty of storage. I love the island and kitchen layout. One thing we ordered are slide stabilizer jacks. When the kids roll over in their bunks, we get some side to side movement. Other than that, we LOVE it!! My husband reports that it is easier to tow than our old camper (weight almost the same), probably due to a more aerodynamic front.? Anyway, Good luck and enjoy it!!

We are considering trading in our 2007 314BHDS for the 2016 324BHTS...and are liking the party sofa. Would love some pics when you guys get delivery! Or when Jayco gets around to posting the online brochure
