It could be a few things: Alignment, foreign objects, lubrication. A 2016 seems that it is still under warranty so I'd make a call to your dealer for them to take a look.
If the 12v system voltage is low, then your slide motors run slower and don't develop as much power. If it is worse when unplugged, maybe your battery is not being fully charged by your converter. (Note: If your are boondocking, towing your trailer will not charge your battery sufficiently.)
The first time you had the problem, had your trailer been stored and plugged in at the house or a storage unit? There are 'parasitic' draws that will drain your battery if the battery is not being charged or is not disconnected from the trailer.
