Jayco eagle interior light bulbs?

I noticed today that all interior ceiling light fixture sockets (where the light bulb plugs in to the socket) are quite brown - in that it almost looks like the bulbs are too hot?
I purchased the trailer used from a couple...& coincidently today I found their open pack of 12volt bulbs from lowes- they look like the proper clear glass bulb but the pack is labeled Exterior (as in they are sold for outdoor 12v landscape lights) it says 12v & 4watt... Nothing else...
Any idea if these are the wrong bulbs and/or how can I figure out what bulb is proper? It's a 2007 jayco. Thanks for the input.

I think most of the bulbs are either 7 watt or 8 watt. The fixtures are brown due to the heat generated by the bulbs. The 4 watt bulbs will work to reduce the heat, but also reduce the amount of light. Recommend you look at some LED lights. The LEDs give off almost no heat.

X2. Clean the globes and go with Led's.
You will be amazed.

Clarification. The sockets are not brown as in dirt... They are brown as in burnt..

Regarding led: is there a led bulb compatible with these 2007 12v standard ceiling light fixtures? Or do I need to buy all new led type ceiling light fixtures?
(Trailer not worth putting any more money into it) tks!

Find out the type of bulb and google the number and led replacement.

There are many to choose from.
