Jayco Flight 34RSBS Vehicle

I just purchased a 2017 Jayco Flight 34RSBS. Since I don't yet have a vehicle to pull it, I was wondering what vehicle other 34RSBS owners are using to haul theirs. I don't want to buy too much truck but I also don't want one too small either. Whadayathink?

Depends on how much extra stuff you want to throw in the truck and how many passengers you will be toting around. It is for sure too big for a 150/1500. The bump up to a 250/2500 is pretty dramatic (a lot bigger jump than from 250->350) and would be enough for me, it would have enough capacity for the trailer tongue plus another 1500 or so pounds of people and toys.

Welcome and congrats on the new rig!!!

As mentioned, definitely 2500/250 or 3500/350 truck territory.

Make sure you get a good wdh with integrated sway control. And get the 2.5" shank for the wdh as well.

The next big question is where do you plan on taking trips to for the famous gas vs diesel decision.

I'm looking at the same trailer and am having the same questions. I currently have a 2025 Tundra w a tow capacity of 10k. Given the specs, a loaded trailer is over my limit. One positive is that I do not ever tow w water in the tanks, and I only tow 55min on flat ground ( Ohio)., my real concern is the tounge weight. When you are looking at 2500 Trucks be aware that they vary widely based on engine, Gearing etc....

I just moved up from an F150 to an F250 and the difference is incredible as to confidence and comfort while towing. Since you are looking at TV's more is better. Wish I had done the F250 to begin with.
