Jayco Multifunctional Remote?

Looking at the new Jayflight 2016 Elite package it states that it comes with a multifunction remote but it doesn't really say what exactly it does. Does anyone have one of these and if so what does it do? Just wondering if it is actually useful.

I have the remote with my 2015 Eagle. I really like it. I can move the slide in or out while watching the inside/outside for obstructions. I like to use the remote for the stabilizers, where I can place boards right under the pads as the extend down.

it is a worthwhile option for me.

x2 ...before I picked up ours I thought it was just a "whistle and bell" feature. however I find it very functual, would be hard to go without now that we are use to it.

Thanks for the info guys! It sounds like it is more useful than just a new bell or whistle. I wonder why they don't advertise this feature more? It seems like it is really hard to even find any information on it.

I'm told you can use it to raise/lower the landing jacks from inside the truck if a slight adjustment is needed on the king pin. Haven't actually used it this way myself but I'm going to give that a try next time out.

What they all said. Thought it was fluff till I got used to using it. Lives Velcro'd to the dash to adjust height, turn on porch light returning after dark. I love being able to watch the slide as it comes out. 4th weekend I was too close to a tree branch and repositioned before the slide hit the branch, had i been inside I would have heard "crunch" and gone out to find I was 18" too close.

multifunctional remote

Sounds like a great option, but is there a user manual online or printed? Ours is brand new and is asking for a pin number. Thanks

I may have to call the dealer in case they have a generic pin created.

They jayco default pin is 0000. It took my 5 yr old all of 10 seconds to hack it.

I thought the remote was a bit gimmicky to begin with too but it is actually a great feature. I can stand out desiderate the trailer now and watch ad the slide goes out instead of opening a window and relying in the wife to yell at me if it is about to hit something.

Nice for the awning too.

My only complaint is the touchscreen. You have to push it fairly hard. Could be more responsive.

Love using it, but also need to reprogram it as the labeling that the dealer put in is incorrect. The slides are correct, but I have three awnings listed (only two on the unit) and the two on the remote that work are both labeled Awning 1.

I played around with it a bit yesterday during my walk through. a All functions worked fine. Default password was 0000.

I think it requires a mini usb charger to recharge it. I don't recall seeing one in the blue Jayco bag in the trailer and I forgot to ask about it. Did everyone get a charger to charge their remote?
