Jayco's Roof Warranty

I purchased a new 2014 248 RBS on Saturday. When I asked the salesman if it had a 12 year warrant on the roof he told me yes, but I can't find anything in print that says the roof warranty is 12 years?

Any help would be appreciated. I don't pick up the unit until this coming Saturday.

From what I recall, the 12 years is the mfg warranty for the rubber membrane, not to be confused with a warranty for water penetration. It is your, the owner's, responsibility to maintain roof (and all other) seals and caulking. Leaks in the first 60 days I believe are a warranty item, beyond that it is consider to be caused by neglected preventive maintance and not covered under Jayco's 24 mth warranty--that is unless the membrane fails.

I was looking at another posting and saw talk of Alphs Ply roofs and I determined I had this on my new White Hawk. I went to the manufacturers web site (Alpha that is) and that is where they posted a 12 year warranty. Learned something new.

12 years on the membrane, but the warranty on calking is only 90 days!!!

If you roof leaks it is likely faulty caulking, and unless you are whithin 3 months, you are out of luck!
