Smooth side or aluminum sides. Are the smooth sides worth the almost $2000 upcharge.

We didn't think so for our TT so we have the aluminum sides.

We also think there's more air flow through the slide windows vs the tip out windows with the smooth sides.

we have the aluminum on our 2016 212-QBW, so far we like it. I wanted smooth sides, but weren't any available at time of purchase. can't imagine $2K better though.

I've had both. The previous camper was aluminum and the current one is smooth (fiberglass or whatever it is lol). On our camper it was less than $2000 but yes I feel it's worth it. I prefer the framless windows and like the look better. Also the smooth sides look better and it's much easier to wax. My current camper seems quieter as well but I wont go as far as to claim the smooth (again fiberglass or whatever it is) option actually makes it quieter. It could just be I've had quieter neighbors while camping this past year lol.. Just my opinion... Either way, it's more a personal preference thing and whether you feel the money is worth it.

X2. I like the sliding windows as opposed to windows that tip out. I don't need more things for me to hit my head on. When waxing it, I use a liquid for easy on and off. It's really all a personal preference, both aluminum and fiberglass have pros and cons.

I wanted our 21 QB with fiberglass walls, but did not want the frameless windows, so we opted for the aluminum instead.

Jayco site list the option as $1837 msrp on a 2017 21QB. You should pay less than 80% of msrp. So really it's a $1400 option.
