JayFlight24RBS or JayFeather23RLSW
We own the X17A and love it but the only reason we bought it was because our tow capacity was limited. We bought a truck and now weight is not an issue but the budget is. We are trying to decide between the JayFlight 24RBS or the JayFeather 23RLSW. Any thoughts?

Some opinions on the different lines in the link below. The RLS floorplan is also available in the Jayflight and Jayflight SLX lines. If weight is not a factor my choice would be the Jayflight for reasons I list in the link.

Before you ink a deal on the Jay Feather, make certain that the trailer is designed to allow you to carry the additional gear that you are accustom to carrying. Lighter weight trailers often times have limited maximum weights.

We are very pleased with the design and construction of our Jay Feather. We also really like the Flights. The 24RBS "Elite Package" is super unit. It is more weight than we wanted, and we love our Murphy plan. The rear lounge is nice. I think the rear lounger Feather has the smaller black tank though (22.5 vs. 30.5). We appreciate the larger tank on ours; we use it a good bit. The Flight has 39 gal tanks which would be better. Lots to consider, pros and cons. I think that it is a little easy to overstate one over the other. We really have gone through our trailer numerous times and camped it 30 nights since buying it in August. In our care, we think it has excellent long-term potential. We do not regret our decision or have "Flight envy."
Determine where you stand with: weight, capacities, floorplan, design features, options, and visual aesthetics. They are both well-made (as mass-produced trailer go).

One other option for you could be the Starcraft launch 24RLS. It's also the same floorplan but has a few minor changes that we preferred. We also traded up from the X17Z and couldn't be happier.

We like the Starcraft but it is more expensive. It also does not have a window to the right of the couch which we really like on the Jayfeather. But the Starcraft has great windows around the dinette that the Jayco does not have. I guess it really comes down to price for us.

Main reason I went with the Flight is the 90 gallons of fresh water. If you boondock at all, that is important.
Another thing I like is the porcelain crapper, I didn't like the flimsy plastic ones in previous campers.

Bought new Jayflight 24rbs
We ordered the Jayflight 24rbs. We love the layout with the u-shaped dinette and the large bathroom. Also, the queen bed is longer and my 6'6" husband actually fits on the bed without his feet overhanging. It will take at least 12 weeks to get it but we think it's worth the wait. In the meantime, we will continue to use the Jayfeather x17a. In fact, we are camping this weekend. Saturday is supposed to reach 17 degrees and we'll stay toasty warm. Happy camping!

We have a 2017 23 RLSW and love it for 1 reason. It has windows on the rear wall and combined with side windows you see the outdoors versus the inside of a camper. We camp in Massachusetts state parks which are on the ocean and were disappointed that we could barely see the surroundings from inside the camper. This one solves that. I don't think you can get a bad model Jayco but this is my 2 cents as to why I like this model. Good lock. Go Patriots!!!
