Just ordered 27DRLS

I have just ordered the above trailer. Have been hanging out on this site for a while asking questions and looking at what some of you are doing. Ants to everyone for being so helpful.

THe trailer is being built and I expect to see it the first of May.

I needed a truck. Looked at Ram, F150, Tundra and toward the end of my search the GMC Sierra. I decided on the gmc crew cab with the 6.2 v8 and the 8 speed trans. It will be built too.

I will share pictures once all is put together.

Steve

Congrats! Is the GMC is it a 1/2 or a 3/4 ton, either way you shouldn't have any problem towing it?

Wow, I'm liking that, so what's the payload and towing on that 6.2L?

Payload over 1800 pounds. Tow rating over 11,000 pounds. I really did like the Ram but the payload is too small.

Wow, that is good it should do what you want it to do, yes I know that the payload of the Ram are really low and I don't blame you on that one. When you get your setup please post pics, I love looking at others setup.

As you are buying new, look for the 3.5 Eco with a Heavy Duty Payload Package even if you have to order it. Will come with the 3.73 rear end and LT tires right from the factory. The 2017 with the 10 speed and 470 ft/lbs of torque looks very impressive. If it will fit in your garage, look for the 6.5 ft bed for the larger gas tank which will be come in handy while towing. Post some pictures once you decide.

Tow our 27DRLS with a F150 eco-boost and have had no issues on the flat lands of Texas. Thinking of moving up to F250 since planning trips to Colorado Mountains. This floor plan is perfect for DW and me and occasional grandchild.

HI.. we just bought the 27 DSRL... and live in Colorado. We have a Tundra , which could be called a "heavy half:.. but we have pulled our previous 19 footer over the highest passes, with zero problemS, and are anticipating the same with our 27..

Your ECO Boost should have no problems in Colorado.. but I wont tell your wife that. LOL. One could always use a larger truck!
