JVC DVD/MP3 player

Has anyone experienced any trouble with the JVC DVD/MP3 player? Mine is acting up and I have trouble turning it on/switching radio stations.

Also, is it possible to run the tv sound through the trailer speakers with an 3.5mm audio cord?

I have the same model trailer and probably the same DVD player in my 2007 25RKS. I have not an issue with mine.

As for your other question:

It is possible depending on the type of Outputs you have on your Television and how the DVD player will accept an Input.
My DVD player has a mini USB input labeled as "AUX". If your DVD player is the same, then you will need to locate the Outputs from your Television and take a cable from the television (most likely an RCA) to a mini USB connection on the DVD player.
While watching television, you will switch the DVD player to "AUX" and the audio will come though the surround sound speakers in the Trailer.

Thanks for the reply. I'll check the unit and let you know how i make out.

Also, is it possible to play a DVD on this thing and watch on the TV? I assumed when i bought the trailer this DVD player could be used for the TV but now i'm not sure.

Hey steveD I have a 2010 and mine will play and do everything you have been asking about including play a dvd. Where in ont. are you from. I'm in woodstock

I needed to set my tv input to another setting in order to watch a dvd.

If your DVD player is connected to the television (usually with RED/WHITE & YELLOW RCA cables), you will need to change the input setting on your television to "INPUT 1", "INPUT 2" or something along that line. I would recommend playing a DVD and then change the television input settings until you can view the DVD on your television. Make a note (mentally or a post it note) as to which input you needed to set your television to view DVD's.
