LCI awning speaker

Any suggestions on an upgrade to these speakers? After 3 trips they sound awful.

You're probably best off installing speakers in the side of the rig. Those awning speakers are encased in a special housing, correct? Are they a standard size? 5-6"?

Yea they are in a standard case. Awful sound. Was hopeful to keep the stock look. Lots of complaints online about the sound so I am thinking it is not worth even having the dealer replace them.

What about buying a decent portable Bluetooth speaker and going that route?

Bluetooth would most likely be the easiest solution. The awning speaker is a great philosophy. The model I wanted had the side mounted speakers, which would be an easy upgrade. Of course when I picked up the camper it didn't have those and ended up with the awning option.

I have a 2016 Jay Flight with the speakers on the exterior wall, but I rarely use them. I prefer my Bose Soundlink blue tooth speaker. It just sounds better and has much better BT connectivity than the Furrion unit.

Bose is the way to go.

I did grab an aux to Bluetooth adapter for the stock radio to increase the Bluetooth range. Instead of the factory 5 feet I can now control the radio from about 25 foot radius. Doesn't effect quality either.

I am going to pull the cover off the awning speakers and see if it is even possible to upgrade. I really would like to keep those functional. Big time music guy, outside speakers was a selling point to this unit.

I hear ya.. How big are those awning speakers? Are they 6-6.5"? It would be nice if you could drop a nice pair of high quality aftermarkets in there.

And yes, the BT connectivity from my iPhone to Furrion system is lousy. I basically have to keep the phone inside the trailer to get a good connection.

I think they may be 4.5 inch speakers. Hard to get good quality out of that size.
