Leatherette on White Hawks

We are looking at a 2015 28DSBH with the brick leatherette. When walking through a new unit on the lot, I noticed some markings on the armrest, etc. How susceptible is leatherette in getting scratches or markings? What about pets?

We have leatherette on the dinette seats/cushions and it is doing just fine; we don't put things in our back pockets. Furniture is off-limits for the dog ... she has a comfy bed and a padded mat on the floor.

We got the fabric sofa over the leathette after a bit of research. I read a few complaints about it not holding up long term to the temperature changes in the RV and being sticky when its hot and you are sweaty. The fabric seems very think so with a large dog and 3 kids I think we will be happy with our choice.

One season use so far with no issues. Very easy to clean if you have any spills.

I have the dark brown leatherette in my Eagle. My dog likes to scratch/dig at the sofa and bed before lying down. He absolutely ruined my real leather sofa at home. I bought a slip cover to help preserve the leatherette, but found that it slid around so much, it wouldn't stay in place. I put it in storage after the first week. I've been very pleasantly surprised at how durable the leatherette has been. Doesn't seem to scratch like the leather did, stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter, and cleans easily if you spill coffee or drinks on it (don't ask how I know). After 8 months of full-timing, I'm very happy with the leatherette!

We have the brick leatherette in our WhiteHawk and after a year of use, including by the dog, it still looks like new. Similar experience to Brownie's with the slip covers

Thanks everyone. Seems as if the leatherette is pretty durable. I guess the unknown is how long it will last and what it will be like in 5 years or more. The next step is to decide if I want to purchase!
