Leaving Jayco Family

Last Friday DW & I went to look at a 2017 Jayco eagle 330 RSTS. Really nice trailer, but sitting behind it was a 2017 Grand Design Reflection 315RLTS. After going back and forth for awhile we decided on the GD. Both are great trailers, there were a few small things about the GD we liked better. Trading in our Whitehawk 27 DSRL that has served us well. I will still be lurking around, lots of good stuff on this fourm. Thanks for all the help over last couple of yrs.

Good luck with the new trailer. I was in one (grand design) a few months ago and it was really nice. Enjoy the new rig and happy camping!

Yep, don't be a stranger. It's amazing how many of the posts on here translate equally well to all of the various campers out there. Wish you the best.

If I would have been in the market for a 5vr, when we bought our trailer, the GD would have been one of top ones on our list.

Walked through several GD at the Seattle RV show and i liked the layouts and interior shades of wood and fabrics. They had a 2600RB at the show and I can pull that with my VW Touareg and it got me thinking. Good choice and the best of luck with your new home.

Funny, I was looking for a replacement for my 26.5RLS fifth, but since I was already on the edge for payload, I can't carry any of the newer Jayco fifths. Just signed the papers today for a Grand Design 32' travel trailer. Jayco also seems to be lagging a bit behind in their TT, as far as layouts. Would have bought Jayco first, but too many other brands have upped their games. And they are 100% out of the range of 1/2 ton trucks with their fifths, except for the one very smallest. Of course, that won't stop the salesmen.....

Funny that I feel the same way, Jayco seemed to be the same olé same olé at the 2017 show. I came away thinking about some of the other brands, Not sure about their construction but they sure looked good inside.

The DW and myself really like the GD.

Looks like we should start a "SOB" sub-forum!

If you are in the mkt for a Whitehawk 27 DSRL, there is a good one going into Colerain RV-Cincinnati. 2015, new tires, new mattress, looks like new. We are trading Sat.

This one: https://www.granddesignrv.com/showro...orplans/2670mk

Put money down on a Whitehawk first, but in reviewing it had little interior storage, so the DW convinced me to look further afield. This hits all the wants, and my TV exceeds all the weight specs. The Whitehawk was too close on those, also. Not a fan of the interior color scheme, but I can adjust to it.

:-D Enjoy the new trailer, i think these forums are the best RV forums on the net by far, if you have a Jayco or not. Don't be a stranger!

Seems logical to me that the recent change in Jayco ownership would 'rock the boat' for a while in many areas. I would imagine that somewhere in design process Jayco may need to incorporate new sources of materials and components; maybe a whole new supply chain.
