LED awning lights

Anyone know if the individual bulbs on a awning LED light strip are replaceable or does the whole strip need to be changed? If they are replaceable, how do you do it? I have several LED bulbs that have died on a trailer that is only 1 year old! We don't use the awning left very often either..

If it is only 1 year old then it is a warranty issue. Generally you cannot change the led on a strip.

Awesome, thanks guys. Hopefully it is under Jayco's 2 year warranty like you said! Guess I'll call the dealer.

It should very well be a warranty issue..

I had the same problem on my 2014 32BHDS and it was covered under warranty.

My LED light strip failed within a week after I brought my TT home. The dealer did sent out a technician to my home to replace the strip, but it took about a dozen phonecalls & e-mails to get them to do it.

LED awning lights

You can buy a full replacement strip for $10 from Amazon. If you're the slightest bit handy with a soldering iron, you could have this replaced in about 30 minutes.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HSF64JG

It's probably quicker (driving) and cheaper (fuel) than taking it to the dealer to do it.

I recently added this dimmer right in front of the stock strip since it was blindly bright:

This strip is not waterproof. I have been looking for a replacement also but have not found one that is waterproof.

Our 375BHFS is 2 years old next month and I am already on my 3rd set of replacement LED's. Taking it to the dealer in November to have the nose cap repainted and plan on having them install our 4th set as these are already extremely dim. Once I'm outside my warranty period, I'm thinking seriously about going back to a traditional porch style light.

jimanmdcarol, Could you please share with us some info about what you mean by adding the dimmer "in front" of the lights?
Did you splice in the inline component at the switch box panel? Or is there another place the wires are accessible?
Thanks,

Here is a post about it. It depends where they ran the power lines. Mine ran down the awning brace to the front pass through. Some peoples went in up at the top at the beginning of the awning at the roof line.
Here is a post with good info. If you use one of the dimmers, make sure you caulk each end of it good or it will get wet and won't work till it drys out. There are good photos.
