I have the one before that. I think mine turns them on and off. I always leave it in its holder and use the switch to turn them on and off. I'll have to check and see.
There are many different ways to skin a cat...as long as each is happy with the result is all that matters! I do like my dimmer remote though

Yeah and I really only use it when we are going someplace and not coming back till dark. I guess in reality if I hooked up the dimmer and carried that piece with me (remembering to hit the switch before leaving) I would have the same thing. But that's another remote to not lose too!! Then I might just as well put the multi colored lights in!

I order the polyimide amber tape last week from Techni-Tool at a cost of $5.67. It arrived on Saturday and I applied six layers of the tape to the LED Awning Strip -- "Perfect!" Total installation time about 1/2 hour.

Thanks for the tip Dan!

Six layers cut the brightness about 20%. Still is kinda bright but now I will be able to actually use the light strip and keep the bugs away.

Thanks for the idea on the Amber poly tape ! The wife put the tape on the awning light and I installed the dimmer at the awning light connection outside the TT. Cant wait til it gets dark ! The wife experimented with using that tape on one of the LED lights. Picture shows one out of the 2 bulbs taped. She applied the tape directly to the bulb. We will monitor what happens temperature wise.....
