Lightbulb Led light bulbs

Hi guys,

I would like to know the replacement number on LED for the interior light bulbs of my TT, it is a Swift 185, sorry but it is a little confusing to me.

Take a picture of one and post it...I can probably tell you by looking at it.

If it looks like this it's a 921 bulb.

If you go to this thread, there are several options.

Many options out there.....here's my installation and testing results. These LED Panels come in (3) spectrums....cool (blue), white and warm. Warm is the most natural.

If they are producing enough heat to mention, does that indicate they are drawing quite a bit more power than the 10 or 15% advertised compared to incandescent?

No, the LEDS will still heat up...but not like the incandescent. Doesn't mean they draw anymore power...still far less.

If you can't figure it out poking around on the internet, take the bulb out and take it to your local auto parts store. The guy at the counter should be able to tell you right away what kind of light it is. Take a look at the package and note the bulb type and you're GTG. Most likely it's a 921 (flat socket) or a Ba15 bayonet (round socket).

Pay special attention to the temperature of the lights. I just put some in my unit that are labeled "white" and they still look blue to me. Especially if you are not replacing all the lamps at one time and you have LEDs in the same room as incandescent, then they look really blue (even if they're "white").

I just ordered some more that are labeled "Warm White" or 3000K-3500K IIRC. I'm hoping they will be more acceptable to DW. The blueish tint of the "cool white" or the "white" bulbs just doesn't look very inviting.

Once you find out which bulb you need, only order one or two until you are sure you have the right color. Amazon is a pretty good resource for some cheap bulbs. Once you find out what you really like, then you can drop a few more coins on something that will last or has a warranty.

Here is another good reference with examples of what the light will look like.

Spending winter months in a 30 amp, very comfortable but not full-time trailer has its challenges. The main one being lack of available amperage. So led's are an attraction. BUT, if the light over my easy chair at home blows and I ask what to replace it with, there is no need for charts and lumins and colors and $1 or $20 choices. You just say, go get a 75 or hundred watt soft light and screw it in. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I now have two led's, $40 worth of night lights, that the CW guy swore were great 921 replacements. Wake me when they fix the web site.
