Leveler tool

I have a 01' kiwi too 28r
I picked it up at an auction and I'm new to campers also.
On the levelers there must be an adapter to go on the end of the
Threaded rod to operate?
I looked around on the net and found nothing.
My plan was to weld a nut to the end of them but I would

Look closely and you will find (2) crimped wings near the ends of the threads. You need the dogleg crank with socket that slips onto the threaded end and into the crimps. Shouldn't be hard to get one.

Welcome to the camping world and to Jayco. Just an FYI. The jacks are not for leveling. They only stabilize the camper. You can bend the frame if you use them to level the camper.

Any Jayco dealer should either have them or be able to get you one. When I bought my trailer, it came with one, but I talked the dealer into cutting the end off of another one so I could chuck it in a cordless drill. Makes life a lot easier.

The frames of trailers are not made heavy duty like motor home frames. If you try to use the jacks for leveling you may well bend the frame. Level your trailer by driving the low side up on to some kind of blocks (I have two sets of the Camco leveling "legos", but many people use pieces of lumber).

I used an old spark plug socket and notched it out. Still going strong!

Hi you can find them cheep on line and at most camping stores we had that type of stablizers on a coleman popup

Yes, they are only for stabalizing. Use blocks under your trailer jack and tires to level. Then, drop the stabalizers down to the ground to keep the unit from the dreaded "rocking." Remember, no question is too dumb. Everyone on this site has asked these questions at one time or another.
