Long trailer to stabilize!

I finally got my 38fdds stabilized. It took 8 Camco aluminum jack stands under the frame rails. That's in addition to the 4 trailer stabilizers and the tongue jack!

At 40'4" long, the frame has quite a bit of flex.

Something sound wrong.... if you are relatively level wheel to wheel, utilizing lego blocks, boards, Anderson edge, whatever..., then level front to rear with the front jacks (or tongue jack for a bumper-pull). After that, a couple of stabilizers should keep it relatively level. If you need to do more than that, then it sounds like some serious frame problems....

It's not the level, it's the bounce. Looong frame. Frame is fine. I'm at my seasonal site where she'll be staying for years to come hopefully. My goal here is zero bounce. Today I re-adjusted all the stabilizers and added a few more as she has settled a bit since delivery a few months ago. Now I have a jack stand approximately every 6.5'
No more bounce at all.

Ok if you are looking for a permanent setup and want zero bounce, you did it right. If you are road tripping the auto level 6 jack system would do well but never get to zero bounce without an extensive setup such as you designed. Enjoy your rig!

We had trouble with bounce on our first few trips and I finally figured out that if the stablilizers are only out about half way it feels much more solid so I just double up on my blocks.

I would have bought a 38BHDS if it did not come with the sliding door.

I do have double the amount of blocks under the trailer scissor stabilizers. My dealer spoke of not extending them more than half way when he set up my rig up at my seasonal site. My mission was to rid the unit of the bounce. As I mentioned, the frame is very long on my rig. As a long time solution for the bounce, I've added multiple jack stands. I started by adding a set of 4, which helped but I still has some bounce. With the addition of another set of 4, I've eliminated it by 95%. I'm happy with the end result.
