Lost my power cord. Help

I accidentally pushed the 30 amp cord all the way into the hole , plug and all. I cannot see the plug. I had my 6 year old reach his hand in but he cant feel the plug end. Any idea how to get at it from inside? Seems to be boxed in with no way to access from the inside.

I just went out and looked at mine and the box that houses the cord appears to be directly behind the stove! I have not figured out yet how to access this box short of pulling the stove, but there may be another way, perhaps someone else will chime in.. If you look under the sink to the left and look back behind the stove (with a flashlight) you can see the box. Its a long way from the under sink cabinet.

Can you hook the cord from the outside with a wire or something? Have power turned off of course.

My oven is a simple Atwood with a four burner top range. You stove may be as easy to take out as mine was. Turn off the gas, remove the top by pushing it back at the front, use two wrenches (one to hold back and one to loosen) on the flair fitting and remove it, remove four screws at the top that screw into the counter, and two screws under the door. Carefully remove the oven - don't bend the copper gas line; the oven is not too heavy for one person. Install is the reverse. Be sure to check for leaks at the flair fitting with soap bubbles (squirt some liquid soap into a can or jar, add a bit of water, use a paint brush to make suds, paint the suds onto the fitting area, look for bubbles - turn on the gas right before you do this or there won't be any bubbles, even if there is a leak!). As they say, your mileage may vary!

If he can at least reach what seems to be a loose cord, pull it up a little and work the cord thru his hand the plug should eventually surface......you would think.

The next thing would be to remove the 3-screws around the outer plastic plug housing cover, then remove the housing which will expose a larger hole for access into the box. Or like Lee said, the good olé coat hanger.

Tried the coat hanger, but no way to pull the cord through. Too heavy of a cord to bend and fit.

Ended up removing the plastic cup and that gave me a lot more room. I was able to reach it after a few minutes of fishing.

Is that just plumbers putty they use to seal that up with? I put the cup back on, but it doesn't look water tight anymore. I will need to goop it up a little more.

Swing by your RV dealer, they should have a Dicor RV sealant product(s) to use for this application. Good to have some on hand anyway for those annual window, door, etc., joint inspections (roof as well).

My very first mod was to put that cord on a plug in base.. so I did not have to stand there and feed it in and out... now go inside the RV to where the cord is and GENTLY tap the wood cover in then you will have access to the cord and can feed it through the hole again.. I then used 2 screws to hold the cover back in place in case I had to go into the area again.

Not that easy in the OP's case, as mentioned in a prior post the 28BHS cord box is located behind the stove.

Glad to hear you fished it out. The sealant behind the cord housing cover looks like butyl tape to me.
