Lubricant for slideout

Can anyone recommend the correct type of lubricant to use on my slideout? I have a JAYCO SWIFT 267BHS.

Thanks

Check that you need to lube the slide, assuming you mean the mechanism. You shouldn't need to do anything there.

If you mean the weatherstripping around the slide, then I use a silicon spray.

I've read where some recommend baby powder on the slide seals, both inside and out, and read where one guy used baby powder on the inside seals and silicone spray on the outside seals.

On the mechanisim itself nothing. You don't want anything that will collect dirt and debris.

If it's a Schwintek slide, they warn not to apply any lube to the slide mechanism. A guy at a campground that I used to stay at lubed his slide mechanism because it looked too dry. It totally seized up on him at the end of the season. It wasn't a Schwintek. I don't know what brand it was.
