Lubricating tank valves

My husband has been reading the 2003 Jayco Eagle manual we downloaded. He is trying to find out how to lubricate the valves for the holding tanks. So far, he can't find anything about lubricating the valves. Any advice will be appreciated.

Check any place that sells RV supplies..., they have chemicals that you can pour into your tanks that will provide lubrication to the dump valves and tank sensors.

Spray silicone lubricant on the extended shaft to which the handle is attached and work the handle in and out. Repeat two more times for a total of three lubrication cycles and you should be good. Note - use silicone spray NOT WD-40 as that will ruin the shaft seals (so I've read).

I did the above and the handle worked easily and smoothly afterwards. I am assuming that the gate valve inside is not totally dry and the valve was working all along but was just stiff. If that is not the case then complete disassembly is the best way to lubricate the gate.

Cooking with olive oil will keep the valve lubricated.....

Olive oil or a valve lubricant that you pour into your empty holding tank will work. Do not use vegetable oil.

I have used a product called Coco Butter with good results. I believe it is a Camco product.
