Maiden voyage...
First trip is underway. And we're not off to a good start.
So far the dinette has come detached from the wall, and the toilet is leaking water at the base.
But we'll enjoy the weekend and bring it in for work on Monday.

Well I was expecting some things to happen which is why we stayed close to home and went to the closest state park. This is what I wanted to do... flush out all the issues .. no pun intended.

I'm still pinching myself that we own a brand new headache free trailer... for at least two years.

You have the same trailer and truck that we have, the truck is even the same color as ours. I haven't used the truck to tow the trailer with yet, does it handle the trailer ok?

I am glad I ordered the same model without the dinette and the toilet. Putting in a large desk and a composting toilet instead and using the black tank for more gray water storage (when I need it).
But with all of the problems you are highlighting on a brand new trailer, I am extremely worried. Those are three significant problems and I don't think that should happen on a brand new trailer, should it???

We only have the 3.08 rear end which is a 6800lb tow limit even with a V8, and it handles great! Smooth as butter! I pull it at 65mph at 2000rpm and get anywhere from 10-14mpg on the flats.

It's going to happen on ANY new trailer. I would consider significant issues to be non working appliances and roof leaks. My issues are just minor adjustments that need to be made after the first shifts from pulling it.

I have the towing package with 3:43 gearing and a locking differential. It has a towing limit of 9,800lbs.

No. I pull it at 70, but I figured I'd save myself the wrath of the safety police and say that I pull it at 65.

You said the toilet is leaking water at the base, ours did the same thing. It turned out to be the nut on the supply line was lose, after I tightened it up by hand it never leaked again.

While those problems are annoying, the beauty of your situation is that when you get back you can bring the unit to your dealer and within a short time all will be repaired under warranty.
We will be receiving our new Whitehawk 27DSRL in about a month. I expect we will have small issues to correct as well. Not too worried about it. I guess it just comes with the total experience.
When a person considers that driving down the road with a "portable house" bouncing and shaking along behind you, it must be similar to what a stationary house goes through in a small earthquake that lasts for hours instead of seconds.

I have pulled a trailer at 70 MPH in the past and had a blow out...tires can't handle it and get too hot. I will not do it any longer, that was NOT a fun situation to be in. I am glad I did not have the wife and kids in the truck with me.
