More Counter Space
I see now the 2016 Jayflights come with top plastic panels to infill the sinks to provide more counterspace. Do they sell these that will match up well with Jayco double sinks? Also, how about the counter extenders. Has anyone installed these and if so which brand did you use?
Thanks

I made my own and your looking at over7' for a total length and with it extended you can still go in & out the door. I took the stove/oven out and moved the microwave down in its place. If you don't use your oven you can just buy the cooktop because there's enough room to fit both in its place. The extra space on top where the wave was is huge.

I think the best part about ur mod, aside from the extra counter space, is u can slide open the small door and grab stuff and put back...for example, maybe some "adult beverage" ingredients while you are outside. Just a thought!
I'd love to know what parts you acquired for the mod??

I bought these shelf brackets on Amazon and the butcher block top from Lowes. I think the top was 2x2 or 2x4 and cut it to the size I wanted, stained it put 3 coats of polyurethane on it and mounted it. On the inside of the cabinet I put a piece of 3/4" plywood for the shelf mounting screws. The brackets come in white, black and a steel color.

good idea. Any idea if there is a cover I can put on top of my 2 burner suburban cook top ?
I hardly ever cook. But I don't want to remove it, just in case I still need it.
Is there just some temporary cover we can put in top of the burner to add more counter space ?

I ditched the stove and got 2 of these because there mush easier to use( imho). We cook mainly outside and just place them on the table along with the charcoal grill or fire pit it's everything we need. What's really nice is when the grandkids want a fondue night we can put one on the table.

This might be one of my winter projects, a shelf that attaches to the grille bracket.

yes, that's an idea.Maybe Jayco need to offer no stove burner RV. There may be market for that, and cheaper selling price

Yes, that's what we do a lot of the time, keeps the bugs out that way and the boss can hand me a beer a lot quicker. Now it also works the other way, the slave can hand the wife a cold Gin & Tonic quicker too.
