Mounted a TV above the table in my 25RKS

We recently bought a used 25RKS and it did not come with a television. Apparently the trailer originally came with a small CRT TV on the shelf above the table. A new flat panel TV small enough to fit in the TV shelf would have been too small for my eyes. So we decided to just set one on the table until I came up with a new mounting option. I found an articulating wall mount online at: http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

I wanted to be able to mount the TV so I could position it lower than the shelf so we wouldn't strain our necks while watching it. So I reinforced the cabinet wall with plywood and mounted the wall mount in the entertainment center. This mount allows me to raise an lower the TV several inches. I did run into a problem with the installation in that the mounting plate was too large for the TV since it is designed to hold TVs up to 40 lbs. The plate covered the power cord port and most of the antenna and input ports. Fortunately, I was able to modify the plate to clear the ports. The TV only weighs about 8 lbs which is almost too light for the mount. I've attached several photos if anyone cares to see it.

We have a similar unit in our 25Z except the place for the CRT was on the end against the bathroom wall. We bought our flat screen and an articulating mount for it at Best Buy two years ago. I sprung for the extended warranty figuring the shock of going down the road might cause problems, but so far none with over 10k miles of travel.

Smile Which model of mount?

I also have a 25RKS and really like your install.

Which model of wall mount did you use? I am also trying to find one that will enable the tv to move down to a more desired viewing height.

Thanks!
