we r looking to buy a new jayco...about what percentage off should I be asking for...I know it;s a back and forth game..what is the lowest they would typically go?

also if we were to buy used..according to the nada book..should be looking at the lower higher or in between number that they would go for?

I'm not sure if there is a specific % you can go by. Most deals (I believe) have gone with "no haggle" pricing where they have the price (some amount below MSRP) and they don't usually haggle over price.

If I were you, I'd get a quote from either (or both of the following) with what model and options you are looking for:

http://www.thervexpress.com/
http://www.rvdirect.com/

This should give you about the lowest price you're likely going to find, I believe. I'm not sure how many dealers will match or beat the price from these on-line rv dealers but it's worth a shot. Some may not because they like the high margin they usually get or because they just don't get enough of a price break from Jayco due to low volume of sales, or so I assume. I really don't know.

I bought my RV using thervexpress.

Give it a try. I took a quote from RVDIRECT to my dealer and got almost 30% off list price.

Depends on the dealer, I bought a new 2010 365 BHS last year. MSRP was 55,000, I drove out for 32,500. I received 41% off. You haggle with the dealer as much as possible and remember camper sells are bad right now!!!!!!!!!!

We live on the west coast and I've found that there is up to a three thousand dollar surcharge at some dealers for having to deliver the unit 3000 km from the factory.
At one point prior to buying our trailer I was prepared to drive back east to get a better deal. A dealer 400 km from our home made a deal with me over the Internet that gave me good deal for my trade in and a reasonable deal for our new trailer. It made a 3 thousand dollar difference compared to other dealers on the coast.

Here is some good info to teach you how to get that 30% off MSRP. Happy shopping

Go to RVDirect's website, price a TT the way you want it, you will see the MSRP and a day later you will get a quote from RVDirect. Even if you do not order from RVDirect you will now know how much can be taken off MSRP. I estimate 30%.
My TT had a MSRP of $31,000.00 and I paid $21,350.00 from RVDirect.

30% does seem to be the easy standard right now. The market is not what it used to be, eager salesmen are out there to be found.
