my boneheaded moment

Why packing up at pirate land the other day I was using the torpedo flush on my black tank. I usually run it for 15 min then fill it a couple times and flush. Well toward the end I got side tracked, walked away and within 2 min saw water flying out of the roof vent. shut water off and pulled black valve and expected the worst when I walked in but thank god everything was spotless. Im glad they obviously glued vent well. no mess anywhere

Yikes! Glad everything worked out. That would have been a nasty mess.

Surely this isn't my MOST boneheaded moment but on my new fiver, there's a control panel for all things plumbing. We hooked up, I twisted the dials and turned on the water... I could hear it flowing so off I went to do something else. 10 minutes later DW comes out and asks me what all the water is running on the ground. Seems I set the dials for filling the fresh water tank vs. the city fixtures.

The upside: I now know that my overflow tubes are working well and there was zero damage but that's probably only because she saw it soon enough.
