Narrow pillow to better fit on short bed?

I'm a bit too tall for the bed in our 26BHS, so I'm thinking about splitting a foam pillow long-ways so I can sleep with my head closer to the front wall. Do you all think this will work? Other suggestions? Thanks!

I have a 26BH. I positioned a 6" wide piece of foam rubber between the headboard and mattress end, and squeeze the fitted sheet over it and the mattress. That gives me a "full length" mattress. My feet don't hang over the end anymore.

My last trip a couple of weeks ago, I noticed that when I closed the sliding doors in my 26BHS, I gained a 2-3 inches near my feet. Not a lot, but it did seem a little nicer. Maybe you already tried this, Oh well, just a thought I had.

Thanks all. We just got back from our second outing and I slept with the door open and my feet angled off the end and through the doorway. Seemed to work well enough. There's no space to lengthen the mattress in our 26BHS.
