I recently purchased a Tekonsha 90160 Primus IQ. Seems like a good controller if you don't need more than three axles. I also don't think it works with hydraulic /electric brakes, just standard electric, although I could be wrong.

I have a Protegy P3 in my Sprinter. Nice controller for sure. A little on the $$$ side, but a really nice controller.

If I were to suggest a great bang for the buck unit, it would have to be the Tekonsha Voyager. Nothing fancy. Just stops the trailer well. No mess no fuss. Not on part with the P3, but a good little proportional controller.

I had a Protegy P2 in my first truck and was very happy with it. IIRC the P2 is a mid-line model between the Voyager and P3 that Midnightmoon commented on.

I picked up a Reese pilot. Found it local store. Good reviews. Any comments on this unit?

When it comes to stopping and braking I will not error on the cheapest side.

Quality is paramount to me. Tekonsha P3 in my TV.

It is $$$ but I have no regrets.
