need advise

Hi guys, here I am trying to install a ladder on a 26BH. Anyone with this type of experience that can tell me how difficult it will be?
Thank you very much for your advice.

Since there's no standard blocking installed, you have to do this yourself by removing inside paneling.

Just a thought have you considered one of the telescoping ladders?

I have a Ladder mounted on the back but I much prefer the Telescoping one and I can move it where it is needed at the time making it more convenient for me.

My 5er didn't have a ladder but I called Jayco with my VIN and they sent me a schematic showing the blocking location. Just cuz there's no ladder doesn't mean there's no blocking
I installed an aftermarket ladder and would consider it a "moderate" modification. You have to measure precisely and make sure to use Dicor self-leveling caulk on the roof around the screws. Go for it!

It's possible that your model was not made with supports for a ladder. Aljo. and trout are on it. You may be able to add the blocking or if there Jayco may be able to tell you where. Either way start with Jayco if you want a built-in. TxTwo suggests a tele ladder, that'd be my choice.
Our 5th has a ladder and I've used it a couple of times but when home is close by I use my folding ladder. I find the built-in difficult to climb and only use it on the road when I HAVE to go up top.

Vinyl fence post sleeve w/ a GPL 7' folding ladder stored inside. Check my mods link for pics how I mounted it under the trailer.
