Neg Battery Terminal Quick Disconnect/Switch?

Each time I park our TT for storage I disconnect the neg terminal to prevent drain. It's not hard but, I've dropped the nut into the battery box and had to remove the entire battery to get it, almost dropped it in several times. Seems a heavy duty switch to provide a disconnect for the neg terminal lead would be much easier. I saw a few different types in the big RV accessories catalog I have but not sure of types that are better, where to mount ideas, etc. Anyone installed a switch like this? I saw one with a key to operate it.

I installed this one on mine..
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...7f52123342de31

It attaches to the negative post, and then you connect your negative cable to the other end of the switch. 7 minute install. Tighten the knob to turn on the battery, loosen it to disconnect. You can completely remove the knob if you want.

It's one of the cheaper options. When I upgrade my batteries next spring I'll probably upgrade my shut off switch by mounting it inside the 'basement'.

Thanks. Followed the Amazon link and see this one and many other styles and options. Didn't realize this was such a standard item. Will be easy enough now to find one that works that I like.

thx

Many people add a red plastic disconnect where you do not need to remove the cover. I have an inline fuse, at the battery I pull. For nuts I switched to wing nuts and carry a few extra in my tool box

My 5th came with one, but for my boat I installed this one, which is very similar. Simple on/off operation, very easy to install. Weatherproof, and can handle very high current.
