New 27RLS...WooHoo!

We pulled the trigger last Saturday and purchased a 2015 27RLS with Elite & Thermal Packages, Aluminum Rims, 32" Television and the Fiberglass Sidewall option. Drove up to the dealer yesterday for the walkthrough and delivery. We really love the floorpan and the interior option we picked (Cashew Leatherette). I was a little apprehensive about towing it with our Ecoboost, but it was no problem at all, in fact the only difference I noticed from our 18' hybrid was when we went over undulations or rough roads, there was a little more "push" from the trailer but nothing to really be concerned about. After we get all of our stuff moved from the hybrid into the new trailer, I'll take it to work and do all the weight checks on our scales. Here are a few pics:

Very nice. Makes me want to upgrade from our 26RLS, which is the predecessor.

Yes, we looked at the 26RLS sitting next to it at the lot and the pantry cabinet and larger couch with the smaller dinette in the 27RLS sold my wife

I am David472s wife. Can you send a picture of the drawer to the right of the kitchen sink counter, beside the rear door please? I am curious to see how Jayco has redesigned that area.

Here's a link to all the pictures I took yesterday https://flic.kr/s/aHsk6natrN. When it gets light here, I'll take a few concentrating on that area of the kitchen.

Hey tbwill, I'm curious what the fiberglass side walls did to the weight. What did that top out at?

I emailed Jayco before I purchased it and this is their reply: "Thank you for your e-mail and for your interest in Jayco. The fiberglass sidewalls and frameless windows options will add 269 pounds to the weight of the Jay Flight 27RLS."My trailer as built with full propane tanks is 6967 lbs. That seems to confirm what Jayco says because all of the Aluminum sided ones I have seen pics of the weight sticker seem to be in the 6600 lb range.

Very nice. We went for the 26RLS with the same package and love it. Curious what are you using for wd hitch?

Wow, 269lbs is nothing. That exterior is gorgeous!

I went with the 10,000 lb Fastway E2 Hitch. I have used the same 6,000 lb rated hitch on our Hybrid for the last four years and really like it.

Nice, I like that floorplan and the fact that the 27RLS now has the neo angle shower instead of the tub that the 26RLS had.

Here are a few pics I took this morning of that area. The cabinet door along side the entrance opens up to the same cabinet that faces the sink. The two white spots you see in the back area above the door are USB ports for charging cellphones. There is some storage space on the floor and the water pump is back there. The drawers are all the same size. The big difference is the floor to ceiling pantry alongside the refrigerator.

Thanks, here a few more pics I took this morning in the early morning sun:

Waxed the front cap and right side yesterday, today I'll finish the rear and the left side.
